ABOUT RINGSTON-WARD DUO

Ringston-Ward Duo is a New York based chamber duo composed of Jessica Ringston, flute, and John Ward, guitar. The Ringston-Ward Duo has had the privilege of performing across New York City, including performances at the 40th Anniversary of Make Music Day, The Village Trip’s GuitarFest, and National Arts Club. Most recently, they were featured in the Young Musicians of Westchester Chamber Music Series, where they performed works by Takemitsu and Piazzolla.

They take special interest in new music and collaboration, which has allowed them to work with composers to commission and record new works, including a recent release of Ken Turley’s Guitar Trio No. 6, "Winter".

In addition to their work in performance and recording, they perform bimonthly concerts at a nursing home in Connecticut for the facility’s memory impaired residents, allowing the duo to expand upon the accessibility of chamber music by performing for people who are physically unable to attend concerts elsewhere. This June the Ringston-Ward Duo performed in the RiverArts Music Tour across Westchester County.
